DVSAC Changing Name to Community Beyond Violence

You may have heard of the D-V-S-A-C, the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition, or maybe you haven’t. The non-profit organization that helps mostly women get out of abusive relationships, is changing their name. Outgoing board president Joe D’Andrea says a re-branding is necessary because of a lack of name recognition, and also because they are more than just harboring battered women–they are also about outreach…

D’ Andrea says that includes visits to high schools and youth groups. The name change is expected to be fully in place by next month.
