Daffodil Run A Big Community Success

The weather was perfect and the energy positive as over 400 runners and walkers lined up for the start of the 13th Annual Daffodil Run at Gateway Park Sunday morning. And before the run even started, Rotarian and event volunteer, Barb Ross, says the Penn Valley Community was already the big winner of the day.

The Penn Valley Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club each get a portion of the funds raised by the Daffodil Run which go towards food baskets, gifts at Christmas, and scholarships for area students. Race Director Gene Gilligan says there are other other other benefactors too.

The 13th Annual Daffodil Run was a success and the 2013 Gold County Grad Prix is now officially underway.
