Day with a Deputy in Placer County

Saturday, June 2, is the “Day with a Deputy” event at Regional Park in north Auburn, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be live demo’s from many Placer County Sheriff Office units, plus a classic car show. SWAT Team leader Deputy Ben Glou says there is a lot to see at the park on Saturday.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Council sponsors the event, free to the community. The Council aims to help fill the gap between the public’s need for increasing law enforcement services and tightening County budgets. While their efforts focus on providing specialized equipment and supplies for public safety, they are also involved in education and training.
