Deadline to Drop off Clothes for Sisters Closet Project

Tomorrow is the day to drop off clothing, shoe  and accessory donations to the Sisters Closet Project at Twin Cities Church. Sisters Closet, now in it’s sixth year, is an opportunity for all women to help other women during tough economic times by sharing clothing.  Event Coordinator Melinda Dudley says it started as a one-time clothes swap five years ago and just really took off.

Nancy Cunningham says over the years it has expanded, volunteers have built clothing racks to display items by size and category.

Donation drop off is from 3 to 7 pm Friday.  The shopping begins Saturday morning at 9am and goes until noon. You do not have to donate clothing to participate.  Child care is also provided at no cost for mothers to shop,  Any remaining items will be donated to local agencies to assist the women of Nevada County. Twin Cities Church is located at 11726 Rough and Ready Highway, Grass Valley.
