Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal released the name of the woman found dead in a trailer in French Corral area of the county Wednesday morning as 47 year old Tamera Shores of North San Juan. A cause of death has still not been established.

Nevada County Sheriff’s office  says the North San Juan Fire Department went to a home in the 20,000 block of California Street  in the small town early yesterday (Wednesday) morning to a report of a  woman who had died. Sergeant Saunders says Deputies arrived on scene and  determined that this may be a suspicious death.

Investigators are not releasing any information as to why the death is considered suspicious. The Department of Justice is assisting in the processing of the scene. It may be some time until the results of the autopsy are available.

There was one other person at the residence when officers arrived. That individual has been questioned. Sheriff Royal says he is not considered a suspect. In a press release from the Nevada County Sheriff office the Sheriff states- There is no reason to believe the public should be concerned for their safety and there is no reason to believe this death is related to any other recent suspicious deaths in Nevada County.
