Deer Accident and Speeding Lead to DUI Arrest

A Nevada County man hit a deer with his car over the weekend, and then wound up in jail. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says Saturday morning around 3am, deputies saw a black vehicle speed through the area of Brunswick Road and Highway 174 at over 70 miles an hour. The posted speed limit is 35, so the deputies chased the vehicle, and finally tracked the driver down.

The 24 year-old was arrested and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
