Deer Creek Discoloration Issues Clearing Up

Discoloration of Deer Creek in Nevada City is quickly clearing up. The Nevada Irrigation District received reports of a milky, yellowish color flowing into the creek Wednesday afternoon. Early testing shows it was due to a storm-related inflow of sediment. Diversions from the creek were suspended during the investigation.
