Quite a traffic snarl outside of Grass Valley on Highway 20 this morning (Tuesday) after two collisions. C-H-P Officer Greg Tassone says it all started at 9am when a deer tried to cross the road…
That took a few minutes, backing up traffic. Details are still being sorted out, but it appears that a couple of cars behind him failed to see the slowdown…
The driver who hit the deer was not injured, but there was at least one injury in that multi-car crash. Tassone says one person was taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital by ambulance with what are being classified as minor to moderate injuries. One-way controlled traffic was in effect for over an hour with delays of several minutes.
