Grass Valley officers located the suspect 21 year old Douglas MacDuff across the highway near Taco Bell where MacDuff admitted to the theft of the purse. In Mac Duffs pockets officers found some tubes of very expensive artist grade oil paints and a large sum of cash, but the victims purse was nowhere to be found. As the investigation unfolded officers discovered that the paint had been stolen from a local store and the purse was located inside a local grocery store, minus a large amount of cash money.
