As part of his senior project, he and his family were loading a car onto a trailer, and he suddenly couldn’t stand, and that’s when they knew it was more serious. After blood tests, he landed in the hospital and was later he was told he had Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Dowling began chemotherapy, and as a result, started to lose his hair. There is a spaghetti dinner tomorrow night (Saturday) to raise money for the Dowlings and Austin’s medical expenses. It’s from 5 to 8pm at Paulette’s Country Kitchen (875 Sutton Way) in Grass Valley. Tickets are ten dollars and include spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad. Drinks and dessert are available at additional charge.
