A new event drew a large crowd of mountain bike and trail riding enthusiasts to Nevada City Saturday. The Wheelhouse Restaurant on Highway 20 hosted the first ever Dirt Daze Mountain Bike Festival Saturday. MTB Norcal, a mountain biking group that supports trail advocacy, is the event organizer.
Dirt Daze included a full day of events from coffee in the morning to demo rides and clinics throughout the day. Over 30 vendors and products were featured at the event including a special Dirt Daze beer brewed in partnership with Crooked Ale Brewery, MTB Norcal, and Rubicon Expedition Products.
Along with locals, a number of attendees familiar with Nevada City were coming from out of the area.
Younger riders also enjoying what the area has to offer.
Along with raising money through a raffle, beer sales and vendors, MTB Norcal presold Dirt Daze event jerseys raising over 3000 dollars that went directly to the cause.
