Dispatch Consolidation Goes Before City Councils

Consolidating, at the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department, the dispatching now provided by Grass Valley, Nevada City and Truckee police would save the city of Grass Valley about $160,000, administrator Dan Holler says.
Holler adds that those savings are reduced by the need to add a position in the proposal that the Grass Valley City Council takes up Tuesday, September 25.

Nevada City Council members meeting Wednesday, September, 26 will take up the dispatch consolidation.  Nevada City expects to save about $60,000 a year by the consolidation.
