Distracted Driver Runs into Tree

Taking your eyes off the road is never a good idea when you are behind the wheel of a car, as one driver discovered while traveling the Rough and Ready highway early Tuesday morning.

CHP Officer Mike Steele says the male driver was alone in the vehicle.

The injuries were a complaint of pain and the driver was taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital to be checked out. The Vehicle he was driving was a Subaru Impreza. Officer Steele says alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash but it is still under investigation.
