District Begins Search Process

The first steps in the search for a new superintendent were taken this morning as the Nevada Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees met to discuss replacing former Superintendent Marianne Cartan. Board President Katy Schwarz says the board has elected to go with the support of County Superintendent of Schools, Holly Hermansen rather than an outside agency to lead the search for a replacement.

Schwarz knows that the process can be time consuming, but she says the board wants the best candidate possible.

Using the County Superintendent rather than a search firm will save the district thousands of dollars.
