DNA Used to Track Genealogy

DNA information can be used for much more than tracking down criminals like you see on TV detective shows. Some agencies are using DNA to help track genealogy to discover where families may have originated.

Susan Rogers of the Nevada County Genealogical Society says that you can learn all about it at the Societies meeting on Today where speaker Jim Rader will discuss the different types of available tests.

The 6:30 pm meeting will be held in the Community Room of the Madelyn Helling Library in Nevada City. The Society meets on the second Tuesday of every month. For more information, call Helen Martini at 273-0855.
