Dog Bar Road Drop Off Accident

A woman trying to turn her car around went hundreds of feet over a embankment,Tuesday afternoon. CHP Officer Justin Barnhouse says the accident happened when the 86 year old female driver lost control of her 2007 Honda as she tried to turn around after she missed her turn onto Carrie Drive, in Alta Sierra. She backed her vehicle   over the side of the embankment on Dog Bar Road.

The driver and her 89 year old husband were both taken to Sierra Nevada Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injures. The accident remains under investigation.
