Dog Causes Mortorcycle to Crash

A motorcycle rider had no time react when a dog ran out in front of him. CHP Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says the accident happened oh Highway 49 near Lime Kiln Road, Saturday afternoon. Officer Morrison says a 43 year old man from Weed, California was riding his 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle when a dog ran directly into his path.

The rider was taken to Sierra Nevada hospital with facial injures. The dog died at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
