Dollar General Draft EIR Reveals Concerns

And Barrington says the Rough and Ready proposal does not appear to be very compatible with the residential neighborhood, which echoes residents’ concerns at all three sites, including the one in Penn Valley, where no such issues are cited in the report. He says a public comment period is going on through January 31st, with the Planning Commission discussing the EIR at their meeting on January 26th…

Barrington says after the public comment period ends, the information will be processed for another month or two before a final Environmental Impact Report is issued, also including a recommendation from Planning Department staff. He says it’s hoped a final decision will finally be made by the Commission sometime next spring.
