Domestic Violence Arrest By Alert Officer

An alleged suspect involved in a domestic violence issue is in custody following several days of eluding police. According to Lt. Steve Johnson says the incident began back on October 13 when officers responded to a domestic violence call at a Depot Street Apartment in Grass Valley.

Carbone,-Justin1The woman identified the suspect as 22 year old Justin Carbone.

The officer waited for back-up and then entered the apartment through a window to find that Carbone had already fled through another window before they arrived. Carbone could not be located in the neighborhood.
Once at the hospital, the victim explained what had happened.

The victim said that after a few minutes, Carbone let the woman up and kicked her out of the apartment as officers arrived.
Carbone was able to elude officers until Tuesday night.

The officer was able to double back and take Carbone into custody before he had a chance to get away.
Carbone was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility for suspected domestic violence and false imprisonment.
