Last Friday evening Nevada County Sheriffs received a call from a juvenile reporting that his parents had been in an argument and that his father was threatening to burn down his grandmothers house. A deputy was dispatched to make a welfare check on the home located in Lake Wildwood. Lt. Bill Smethers says when the deputy arrived he located Donald Peltzer, along with his wife and the grandmother.
Pelter could not be located the rest of the evening but the deputy did get a statement from the wife explaining there had been an argument between the couple regarding Mr. Pelters possible drug use.*
A domestic violence report was taken and a be on the lookout notice was issued for Pelter. The following morning Peltzer was located at the (Holiday ) Market on Pleasant Valley Drive.
He was taken into custody and booked on Domestic violence and taking a cell phone away from a victim attempting to call 9-1-1.
