A man wanted for assault and stealing a vehicle has finally been found and arrested. 27 year-old Arlyss Lee was taken into custody over the weekend. Nevada County Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Pettitt says the assault reportedly took place last week, while he was arguing in a car with the victim near North San Juan…
The woman couldn’t get out of the car because the door handle was broken, and according to the report, Lee hit her again repeatedly until she blacked out. He then forced her out of the car and took the vehicle. Pettitt says they had been looking for Lee, and finally got a break in the case…
The vehicle was later found in a grocery store parking lot. Lee is being held on 35-thousand dollars bail. Almost a year ago, Lee was arrested for driving at speeds of 100 miles an hour while intoxicated.
