Donner Pass Road Reopens

A portion of Donner Pass Road near Truckee that had been closed since early June has reopened, about a week ahead of schedule. The closure was due to a 40-ton boulder falling on the road. That also closed the area to hiking, biking, and climbing. But motorists should be aware that striping is going on Friday through Sunday, from 11pm to 7am, with traffic controls and up to 20-minute delays.
