The Grass Valley City Council wants to name the new Dorsey Drive interchange with the Golden Center Freeway after slain U-S Embassador Chris Stevens. Mayor Dan Miller has drafted a letter that will be sent to legislators and others proposing the idea. Miller says Caltrans is the one that has final approval…
Stevens was killed September 11th when the U-S Consolate in Libya was attacked. Stevens was born in Grass Valley, and is buried at the family plot in Foresters Cemetery…
Just the interchange would be named for Stevens. There are no plans to rename Dorsey Drive. The Council is expected to take public comment about the letter at their meeting tonight.
