Double Murder Suspect Arrested After 24 Years

Placer County Sheriff’s Officers and Placer County District Attorney staff working on cold cases have identified and arrested a suspect after 24 years. Information Officer Dena Erwin says the crime was a double homicide.*

After reviewing the evidence Foster was arrested. He was already serving time for other crimes and had an extensive criminal history.

A Placer County transportation unit retrieved Foster from Soledad Sate Prison yesterday. Erwin says even though the punishment for the double homicide is life in prison- which Foster is already serving- solving the case brings resolution to family members.

Foster was arraigned in Placer County Superior Court Wednesday afternoon.
