Downieville Man Arrested for Grand Theft in GV

A Downieville man arrested at a Grass Valley motel for grand theft and receiving stolen property. Grass Valley Police Lt Alex Gammelgard says that the sequence of events started at a Kendall St. residence where a parked vehicle had been vandalized.

Gammelgard says that officer were able to get a description of the suspect vehicle that may have been used in the theft. The vehicle had been seen in the area the night before. The suspect vehicle description was already in the system.

Fiesel,-Jonathan1However, the warrant was not active at the time of this activity. Fortunately GV law enfocement was able to locate the vehicle and made contact with the suspect Jonathan Fiesel, 28 of Downieveille. Probable cause was established and Fiesel was taken into custody. While searching the vehicle stolen diesel siphon pump was also located in the back of the suspect vehicle. The siphon had been reported stolen from a local tow company. Fiesel was charged with grand theft and possession of stolen property.
