Downtown GV Businesses Look To Full Capacity

Downtown Grass Valley businesses are looking forward to being able to finally operate at full capacity, without social distancing, on June 15th, although a number of them have been ignoring public health restrictions for months. The Executive Director of the Downtown Association, Marni Marshall, says it’s good to finally know what the phrase “fully reopening the economy” really means…

That includes restaurants, bars and grocery stores, although they will still have the discretion of maintaining COVID restrictions. Marshall says one major impact she also expects is on Grass Valley’s outdoor events…

Marshall says a handful of businesses, including restaurants, have actually stayed closed during most or all of the pandemic, because capacity limits didn’t pencil out for them. Meanwhile, local public health authorities could also still require more strict guidance, if they determine it’s necessary.
