Dreaming Thief Claims Innocence

A suspect found sleeping on a bench in Grass Valley swears he dreamed of committing a crime but did not actually commit it.
The incident began with a typical shoplifting call to a downtown business where alcohol had been stolen and the suspect fled. Lt. Alex Gammelgard tells KNCO that the responding office recognized the suspect on the video tape as Ryan Delavega. Officers canvassed the area but could not locate the suspect. However, several hours later the officer spotted Delavega.

Delavega was taken in to custody and a blood alcohol test determined he had been consuming alcohol which was also a violation of his probation terms.
