Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over!

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over- Officers from seven agencies in Placer County will be on the road this weekend looking for impaired drivers. CHP Officer Nico Bonofilio says law enforcement will be out in force and there will also be a DUI checkpoint.

“There” being Highway 49 just inside the Auburn City limits. The Fourth of July Weekend enforcement will begin on July 3rd and run through July 6th. Statistics show that the summer holiday is especially deadly, in 2012 there were 179 people killed in accidents and 44% of those involved driving under the influence.
