Driver Arrested Carrying Methamphetamine

A vehicle stop on Highway 49 early this morning resulted in one arrest on drug and other charges. CHP Officer, Greg Tassone says 45 year old Robert William Hardie was pulled over just south of Old Downieville Highway about 2:30 this morning.

The officer had Hardie exit the vehicle which was a Mercury Mountaineer, and he took an inventory of what was inside the vehicle .

Hardie was also found to be driving without a valid drivers license. He was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on a variety of charges including possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sale, possession of controlled substance and possession of Drug Parphernalia, along with the outstanding warrant out of Idaho. Hardie listed addresses in North San Juan and Windsor California .

Bail was set at $35,000.
