Driver Arrested for DUI After Crashing through Fence

The rain that came down heavy at times Wednesday night may be a contributing factor to a number of traffic mishaps that occurred last evening.

However CHP officer Greg Tassone says one accident that happened on Highway 49 at Birchville road was likely caused by a combination of drugs and alcohol.

The CHP arrived on scene and found the 27 year old Male driver was incoherent.

The driver was taken to the Hospital to be checked out before being booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance.
