Driver killed after car goes airborne

A driver was killed early Wednesday when he was ejected from a sport utility vehicle that went airborne just before an overpass along Highway 49 in Grass Valley and landed near the intersection of Idaho-Maryland and Scandling Avenue.
The name of the driver has been not released.
Public Information Officer Marc Morrison talks about the 12:35 a.m. accident.

Firefighters found the driver in bushes several hundred feet from the demolished car. He was flown to Sutter Roseville Medical Center where was pronounced dead.
