A man accused of felony hit and run in a collision that killed a Grass Valley man, severely injured his girlfriend, and killed her four dogs, has pleaded Not Guilty in Sacramento Superior Court.
31 year old Paul William Walden has been in cusody without bail since his arrest 3 days after the accident that occurred July 16th of last year in Carmichael. Witnesses said the car that hit Long-Randall and his 23 year old girlfriend Gemily West was going 80 mph and did not slow down before or after impact. Walden faces charges that include murder, vehicular manslaughter, hit and run and driving under the influence. Walden’s record includes three previous DUI arrests. His next court appearance is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on March 15th.
