Grass Valley Police officers were dispatched early this morning to check on a residence in the 100 block of School Alley that was the source of several 9-1-1 hang up calls.
What they found was a woman who had been involved in some sort of disturbance, but also on the property they noticed items that indicated that there was a Butane Honey Oil Lab in use on the property.

Child Protective Services was called to take custody of the Child and Hope Balsiger was arrested for manufacturing a controlled substance, felony child endangerment as well as resisting or delaying a peace officer.
Lt. Gammelgard says on the porch officers found excessive amounts of butane and expended butane cartridges, marijuana plants and marijuana trimmings as well as the items that are used in the actual production of a Honey Oil Lab. The male subject who was alleged to be involved in the dispute was not in the home when officers arrived.

Anyone knows who has been arrested for any type of charges know how the cops LIE, or beef their stories up making it look worse than it was, the officers that arrested hope said the house was in squalid conditions so they called cps to take her daughter, what they failed to say was the balsigers were in the middle of moving out of the house and due to a disturbance that morning the house was tore up, but that was not hopes fault, there was no reason to call cps, matter fact hope wasn't under arrest for anything, until they took her daughter from her, and she told that officer off and told him to get out of her house, then the officer said he's had enough and placed her under arrest, there was no honey oil lab, they had medical scripts for anything they found, the way the officers handled this situation was so wrong, you wonder why a lot of people who are in a situation where they could use some help, refuse to call the cops, because you call for help and before you know it your calling a bail bondsman to bail you out of jail... Our system is all messed up!!!! Hope and mike are great parents, they have never neglected their kids, the kids have always had anything they needed, just remember there is always 2 sides to a story..
