Nevada County Narcotics Task Force officers make multiple arrests in Alta Sierra Thursday evening. According to Sheriff Keith Royal, the series of events leading to the arrests began with a traffic stop and search warrant for 42 year old Brook Heston which they waited until he drove away from the residence. Royal says the warrant was based on information identifying Heston as dealing a large amount of illegal drugs.

Deputies initiated the traffic stop on highway 49 and Lime Kiln Road.

At that point deputies took Heston into custody and then served the warrant on his Names Rd residence wher additional people and drugs were located.*

As a result multiple arrests for possession of controlled substances and/or child endangerment.

The child was taken into protective custody and taken to Child Protective Services.

Heston was booked for possession, sale, and transporting a controlled substance for sale. Heston also had 3 warrants from other counties. He is being held on 150,000 dollars.
