Drug Debris Suspected On Rollins Reservoir

Illegal marijuana activity on public land is believed to be polluting Rollins Reservoir, according to NID officials. Scherzinger says the land is owned by the BLM, and not the NID. He says he’s never seen anything like it before… and that’s just a small part of what is in the reservoir…

Scherzinger says other items are also being found, but there is no threat to water quality. The district is asking anyone who might find additonal butane cartridges in either Rollins or Combie reservoirs to turn them in to NID staff at any of their facilities.
