Drugs and Weapons Arrest Near Lake of the Pines

An Auburn man is facing six felony charges and two misdemeanors after being arrested by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department Task Force on a variety of drug and weapon charges. Sheriff’s Lieutenant Bill Smethers says a search warrant was served at the residence and car of 59-year-old David Havel (HAVE-all) on Ramada Way, just outside Lake of the Pines…

Smethers says officers also intend to file charges against two Anchorage, Alaska men for possession of the heroin. They also found 7 grams of an unidentified white powdery substance and lots of drug paraphenalia. A number of long guns and handguns were also seized. Havel is an ex-felon who is not allowed to possess weapons.
