Duane Strawser 99% Sure to Run for Re-election

Nevada City Councilman, Duane Strawser says he is very likely going to run for a second 4 year term on the Nevada City City Council. After serving 13 years with the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce, Strawser ran for City Council in 2010 and won the seat.

Stawser’s seat and the seat held by Sally Harris are up for election this June.  Sally Harris has served on the Nevada City City Council for 10 years. She has decided it’s time to step down and let some new people in. Strawser says change is a good thing.

Strawser says unfinished business is his main draw to run for a second term.

A new city manager will be coming in to replace David Brennan in a few months and Strawser also wants to be on the council to assist with that transition.
