Nevada County District 1 Supervisor candidate Duane Strawser says he thinks he ran a pretty good campaign, but thinks his opponent, Heidi Hall tried to misrepresent him to the voters.

Strawser says he has been a life time Democrat but registered as “No Party Preference” for the non-partisan Supervisor race, as recommended by the FPPC for all non-partisan races. Strawser was asked if he thinks the outcome of the race had anything to do with the two candidates stance on Measure W which would’ve banned outdoor cultivation of Marijuana.

Of coarse it had to do with his views on W. He wouldn't even address the issue when asked about it on social media. If you want to be a candidate you better be transparent and answer people's questions. And of coarse people are not going to vote for him supporting a measure that goes against California law and the will of a large majority of people living in this county
