DUI Detail In Nevada County During The Fair

The Nevada County Fair was also the weekend chosen for the Grass Valley office of the Highway Patrol to step up enforcement of driving under the influence. Officer Greg Tassone says it’s the first time this year that the CHP program, called “Reduce Impaired Driving”, was held in this area….

Tassone says officers made six arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol and two for being under the influence of drugs Saturday afternoon and evening…

Tassone says 36 citations were also issued for unsafe driving practices and there were also a few drivers arrested regarding warrants issued from outside the area. Ten extra patrols were used.
