DUI Suspect Arrested at Pleasant Valley Elementary School

A man who was acting suspiciously on the Pleasant Valley Elementary School campus yesterday afternoon is now in custody. CHP officer Mike Steele says they received a call about 2:30 pm about a man later identified as as 35 year old Jaime Barron acting strangely on the Campus.

A short time later, Barron drove back to the school campus and intentionally drove through  a cable barrier onto a closed access road toward the rear of the school property.

Barron was then detained by arriving deputies from the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department and ultimately by CHP officers.
The CHP is handling the investigation.

He was placed under arrest for DUI. and additional charges may be forthcoming. There was also a passenger in Barron’s truck but officer Steele says that person  was not detained.
