DUI Suspected in Collison with Utility Pole

A driver slammed into a utility pole after she lost  control of her car. CHP Officer Justin Barnthouse says the 26 year old Grass Valley woman lost control of her 2006 Ford on the Rough and Ready Highway near Valley Drive, Saturday night. Officer Barnthouse says the woman hit the utility pole causing significant damage. She received non-life threatening injures.

The woman was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for treatment. The CHP will file charges through the District Attorney for the woman driving under the influence.
