E-R-C Plans Economic Development Summit

It’s the Nevada County Economic Resource Council’s biggest fundraiser event of the year and it’s coming up next Thursday, May 18th,  at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley. ERC Executive Director Jon Gregory says it ‘s an event locals will not want to miss.

The summit will also showcase 5 local innovative and entrepreneurial business that Gregory says are creating jobs and making a tangible economic impact in Nevada county every day.

Those businesses include Traitware, a technology company that provides password-free secure digital resources access for enterprise,   Applied Science, a local software company that provides solutions to the blood banking and health care industries, Brew Bilt Manufacturing, that makes custom designed equipment for brewing craft beer,  Autometrix that provides cutting solutions for the Industrial Textile market, and Spiral Internet, a Nevada City based Internet Service Provider that is also in the process of providing a state of the art underground gigabit fiber optic internet network in Western Nevada County.

The summit will also include a keynote presentation by a leading economist, Dr. Christopher Thornberg, and a summary presentation of the ERC’s new 3-year strategic plan.
