Early Morning Accident Has Delayed Backup

A crash on Highway 49 near Alta Sierra early this morning (Wednesday) didn’t cause traffic problems until the afternoon. Highway Patrol Officer Greg Tassone says around 5am, a vehicle failed to negotiate a curve near Quail Creek Drive, and went over the side…

He was able to call the Highway Patrol. Tassone says they needed tow trucks and other equipment to pull the car up, so they waited until around 1pm…

Brief road closures and one-way controlled traffic were needed for about 30 to 60 minutes.
