Earthquake Shakes Nevada County

A 5.7 magnitude earthquake centered approximately 7 miles west/northwest of Greenville, CA, just east of Lake Almanor, shook Northern California at 8:47 PM. Much of Nevada county felt the initial quake.

5 additional tremors ranging from 3.2 -3.5  occurred in Chester, Greenville (3), Westwood in Plumas and Lassen Counties between  8:55 and 9:09.

4 additional tremors of 2.5 – 2.7 in the same area as other aftershocks between 9:23 and 9:29

We felt the tremor at about 8.47 pm in Nevada City. Our whole house was shaking, just lasted a couple seconds but was frightening.
