Starting later this month, the IRS says the number of paper checks being delivered will sharply increase. Meanwhile, Tucker says some people have received a payment amount different than what they expected. He says the amounts can vary, based on income, filing status and family size. Other reasons include claimed dependents are not eligible for an additional 500 dollar payment. They usually must be under 17 years old. The IRS indicates most people should get paper checks between late May and in June.
