This is Easter weekend, and that means the Easter Bunny will be spotted in various places around the county–mostly on Saturday. There are several Easter Egg hunts tomorrow, including a large one at Penn Valley’s Western Gateway Park. Chamber of Commerce President Mike Mastrodonato says over a thousand kids are expected, and they will all be grouped by age…
There will be about six thousand plastic eggs to find, many of those will have prizes inside. Some of those are things that will have to be redeemed. And while the hunt may go quickly, that doesn’t mean everyone gets sent home afterwards…
The hunt starts at 9. It’s free. Other egg hunts include one at the Grass Valley Charter School field, sponsored by the Grass Valley Moose Lodge. That starts at 10 and features face painting, a bounce house, and a balloon girl. The Nevada City Elks Lodge has an egg hunt at 10:30. The Easter Bunny will be busy–making appearances at all three events.
