Officials Proceed With Ballot After Court Order

Despite a court order requiring a new impartial analysis be written for Nevada County’s medical pot measure, elections officials are still going ahead with the ballot building process. A judge ruled yesterday (Tuesday) that the impartial analysis was misleading and ordered changes, but County Assistant Clerk Recorder Sandra Sjoberg says that doesn’t affect the ballot itself…

When that happens, there will be another ten day viewing period, and possibly another legal challenge. Sjoberg says that would cut it very close as to whether Measure W would make it on the June ballot, because there’s another deadline that’s rapidly approaching…

If passed, Measure W would ban all outdoor medical marijuana grows and limit the number of plants grown indoors to 12.
