Electronic Skimming Device discovered on Bank ATM

An astute bank customer who noticed something not quite right with the ATM he was using  in Auburn yesterday uncovered an illegal  skimming device that had been attached to the machine. Auburn Police Detective Sgt. Dale Hutchins says it was about 3 p.m. Sunday when the Auburn resident went to the US Bank at 730 High Street in Auburn and used his ATM card at the walk-up ATM.

The customer then called Auburn Police, who notified US Bank, who then had Bank Security investigate.

Detective Sgt.  Hutchins says the bank is currently attempting to contact any customers who may have used the machine. The search for the persons who may have attached the skimmer continues.
