Embezzlement Charge Dismissed Against Jordan

About 3 weeks after the charge was reduced, the embezzlement case has been dismissed against the former head of the Grass Valley Downtown Association. Julia Jordan was originally arrested on one felony charge. But after the preliminary hearing, a Nevada County Judge reduced the charge to a misdemeanor, saying it was not far above the higher monetary threshold for felony prosecution. The case was in its 14th month. Jordan left Grass Valley in February of 2015 to take the job of CEO of the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce. She resigned 8 months later and moved to Seattle, where she is now the CEO for the Auburn, Washington Chamber of Commerce.
