Empty Bowl Benefit for Hospitality House

Community restaurants, bakers and ceramic bowl makers are coming together for the 8th annual Empty Bowl benefit for Hospitality house. Volunteer organizer, Pinky Zalkin says people can enjoy a simple meal of soup and bread  deserts and entertainment.

There will be two seatings this Saturday March 8th, from noon to 2pm and doors open again for  a second seating from 5 to 7 pm. Hospitality House Executive Director Joanna Robinson says Tickets are $20 and children 12 and under   are free, and you take the  bowl home.

Hospitality House still has  a $195,000 loan to pay off the building of Utah’s Place, the 54 bed homeless shelter at the top of Sutton Way, and they also need funds to support programs like a new series of Lifeskiils workshops and permanent housing programs.

The Empty Bowl Benefit this Saturday is at Peace Lutheran Church, 828 West Main Street in Grass Valley.
